History
Van Nuys is affluent community found in Los Angeles, California. Van Nuys is exactly located in the heart of San Fernando Valley. It is a district home for many tourist attraction and historical sites. Van Nuys was name after the founder of San Fernando Homestead Association named Isaac Van Nuys. Isaac Van Nuys founded the San Fernando Homestead Association in the year 1869. Isaac Van Nuys is also responsible for building the first wood frame house in the San Fernando Valley in year 1872. In the early years the San Fernando Homestead Association in the early years acquired much of land that now makes up the community.

The District of Van Nuys is home for a 100,183 residents. This data was according to the United States census bureau conducted in the year 2000. Population in Van Nuys under the Age of 18 was composed of 27.05% and population over the Age of 64 is composed 8.82%. This large number of people is settled in 7.92 square miles or 20.51 square kilometers total land area of Van Nuys.

Van Nuys was before a home for the major manufacturing plant of Chevrolet (a brand of automobile, now a division of General Motors, it is the highest selling GM marque). Today a shopping mall called "The Plant" is standing exactly at the site where the plant used to stand. The mall replaced the manufacturing plant after it was dismantled decades ago.

The FlyAway Bus in Van Nuys has an open- air parking lots and a multi-story parking garage.

The Japanese Garden is a famous 6.5 acres (26,000 m²) landscape in Van Neys. The Japanese Garden in Van Nuys, California was designed by Koichi Kawana.
