Pacific Palisades has grown productively from mountains and sea to building sites and residential areas. The history of this rich community started by 1921, when the land was divided into large parcels within the borders of Rancho Boca de Santa Monica and Rancho San Vicente y Santa Monica; the two Mexican land grants.
